Hi! my name is Victoria, but you can also call me Vic. I am 27 years old and have had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. I started taking care of my neighbor's and friends' pets as young as 9 years old and continued to do so till I left for college at 18. As soon as I got my own apartment at 19 years old, I began fostering dogs and ended up specializing in sick dogs that couldn't be around other animals or "problem" dogs that were either surrendered later in life or returned. My 12th foster pup was Kendrick. We ended up having a bond unlike any other and he became my furever son.

After graduating college at 21 years old with a BA of Science in Operational Management and Marketing and a minor in Supply Chain Management, I took a job at the service department of a Land Rover and Jaguar dealership. I never wanted to have to put animals down or go through any of the heartbreak that comes with being a vet or vet tech, so my plan was to just get rich enough to own as many dogs as possible. I quickly realized how miserable I was, and after only 9 months I decided to quit my job and follow my passion for working with animals. I started working at vet clinics and daycares and eventually became the manager of a doggy daycare in Durham. During my time working with animals I have become certified as a Canine Water Therapist through the IAAMB/ACWT (International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork/ Association of Canine Water Therapy). This allowed me to understand the anatomy and physiology of a canine's body which has benefited my care practices for older dogs as well as dogs dealing with injuries or muscular issues. I also specialized in training dogs how to swim, whether for fun or just for safety!

Throughout my years of working with animals, I have found that I get the most joy from working with animals one-on-one or in smaller more intimate groups. I feel this is the best way to truly connect with the pet and get the most out of our time together. Working one-on-one or in smaller groups allows me to work on behavioral and enrichment activities which in turn builds trust and an unbeatable bond.
Kendrick
Hi, my name is Kendrick, but you can call me Kenny, Kenneth, K dot, etc... I am 6 years old and about 35 lbs. My mom says I'm a mutt, half perfect and half terrific, but my DNA results say I'm a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier, Chihuahua, Brittany Spaniel, German Shepherd, and Great Pyrenees.

I have been lucky enough to be with my mom since I was a puppy! I came to her as a foster pup at only 4 months old. I was dealing with some pink eye, and my mom nursed me back to health! We immediately fell in love and have been inseparable ever since. I helped her foster a litter of 5 kittens when I was only a year old and have continued to stay by her side and be the best helper I can be while she continues to care for every and any animal she can! My mom likes to joke that I'm more cat than dog just because I like to be a little lazy and consider myself to be a strong independent doggo that don't need no human (unless it's to give me butt scratches). Even though I have never passed up a friend, Im pretty chill and laid back and will only play if prompted by a fellow playmate. I get along with all animals and am always ready for new adventures.
